Certifications and Licenses
Clinton Merrifield is a Master Myoskeletal Therapist (MMT) certified by the Erik Dalton “Freedom from Pain Institute.” As a MMT, he dedicates his massage and bodywork practices to pain relief. Additionally, he is a Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) system practitioner certified by the Gray Cook Functional Movement Systems. He is also a licensed massage therapist, massage instructor and certified personal trainer.
As a massage therapy classroom instructor, Clinton specializes in muscle and balance assessments, massage and bodywork techniques, and home fitness training. He is a Texas and nationally certified continuing education provider and conducts classes for local and nationwide massage therapists.
Clinton’s memberships include the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) and the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP). He is also affiliated with the American Massage Therapy Assocation (AMTA) and its Texas chapter.
Erik Dalton, PhD., a pioneer in bodywork and myoskeletal alignment techniques, has mentored Clinton in his massage and bodywork practices. Additionally, Clinton has mentored with Paul Kelly, an Advanced Myoskeletal Therapist for the Freedom from Pain Institute. Clinton is also a supporter and student of Gray Cook, the founder of Functional Movement Systems.
Clinton is a service-minded certified personal trainer and a skilled massage and bodywork specialist. Furthermore, is an active continuing education provider who instructs functional assessments and current massage and bodywork techniques.
